Heritage Expediciones becomes the 4th company in Sri Lanka to have achieved the Travelife certified award

Heritage Expediciones receives Travelife Partner Status

Heritage Expediciones complies with more than 100 criteria related to operators’ office management, product range, international business partners and customer information. The Travelife Standard covers the ISO 26000 Corporate Social Responsibility themes, including environment, biodiversity, human rights and labour relations, and is formally recognised as being in full compliance with the UN-supported Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria.
Heritage Expediciones is the fifth company in Sri Lanka to have achieved the Travelife Partner award.

"Travelife is a three-stage certification program for tour operators and travel agents: (1) Travelife Engaged; (2) Travelife Partner and (3) Travelife Certified. We were awarded the Travelife Partner (stage 2). The Travelife Partner award is a recognition of our commitment to social and environmental sustainability. We are complying with more than 100 criteria related to sustainability management, office operations, working with suppliers and customer communication. We are working towards further improvements aiming to eventually reach the Travelife Certified stage by[2019-2021]"

CSR Projects

As a responsible corporate citizen Heritage Expediciones believes that we should give back what we have reaped over the years. The company understands the importance of building and enhancing the community and plays an important role through its many CSR projects. We have conducted several projects to address various needs covering areas such as health care, education and poverty alleviation. Our projects are always initiated with a personal visit followed by great work with an enthusiastic team.

Heritage Expediciones helps Vidyathilaka Vidiyalaya Thimbirigasyaya

Heritage Expediciones Ltd. wound up the year 2019 with a community project on 13 December 2019 involving the Vidyathilaka Vidiyalaya in Thimbirigasyaya. Located in close proximity to the company’s premises, the school’s building which houses the Year 1, 2 and 3 classrooms were in need of refurbishment. The team at Heritage Expediciones volunteered to do the painting of the walls, desks and chairs.

Heritage Expediciones Engages in Beach Cleanup

The team of Heritage Expediciones Ltd. engaged in a beach cleanup sustainability activity along the west coast of Sri Lanka (Dharmarama Road in Ratmalana) on 4 October. Commenting on the experience, a team member said: “This was an awesome experience for our team. It was our first attempt on the costal belt and we covered nearly a kilometre. Asokaramaya Temple Clean Up Program

The Sustainability Team and the staff of Heritage Expediciones took the initiative to clean the closest public religious location which is Asokaramaya Temple situated in Thimbirigasyaya, Colombo -05.

Due to the lock down, Fr. Dilan Perera Omi Parish Priest of Fathima Chruch in Maradana distributes dry rations to the daily wage earners on behalf of Heritage Expediciones

The enthusiastic team of Heritage Expediciones who participated in the painting of year 1 and 2 classrooms at the Vidyathilaka Vidyalaya in Thimbirigasyaya on the 13th of December 2019. The funds for the project were raised by the team themselves by arranging a pot luck breakfast on the 9th of December.
